DMCA Takedown Policy

Instrumental Ringtone respects intellectual property rights and responds to properly submitted takedown notices. This page explains what to send and what happens next.

Submitting a notice

Send your notice to support@instrumentalringtone.com with the subject line DMCA Takedown Request. To be actionable, it should include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The exact URL of each ringtone page or audio file concerned. One notice may cover several URLs.
  3. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens after

Notices are reviewed on receipt. Where a notice is complete and appears valid, the file is removed from the library, its detail page is taken down, and the sitemap is regenerated. We aim to complete this within a few working days and will confirm by email when it is done.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the removed material and its previous location, include your contact details, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, and include your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court.

Repeat infringement

Audio is reviewed before publication, and any source associated with repeated valid complaints is excluded from the library entirely.

Misuse of this process

Knowingly submitting a false claim of infringement carries legal consequences. If you are unsure whether you hold the relevant rights, obtain advice before filing.

Faster route for simple cases

If you simply want a file removed and do not need a formal process, say so in plain terms with the URL and a short explanation of your interest in the work. Straightforward requests are usually handled without paperwork.
